Jember is a free game platform. We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the service and will never sell your personal information to third parties.

We collect two categories of information:

• Newsletter sign-ups: if you enter your email address in the "Stay in the Loop" form, we receive and store your email address through Netlify Forms.
• Contact form submissions: if you contact us via the contact form, we receive your name, email address, selected reason, and message through Netlify Forms.
• Basic analytics: we may collect anonymous usage data such as page views and session length through privacy-respecting analytics tools. This data cannot be used to identify you.

We do not require account registration to play any game. We do not collect payment information.

How We Use Your Information

Information collected through forms is used solely for the purpose for which it was submitted:

• Newsletter emails are used to notify you of new games, platform features, and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Contact form submissions are used to respond to your inquiry.

Netlify Forms

Form submissions on Jember are processed by Netlify, our hosting provider. When you submit a form, Netlify collects and stores the data on our behalf in accordance with their privacy policy.

Cookies and Local Storage

Jember may use browser localStorage to save your game progress, streak data, and settings between sessions. This data is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We do not show advertisements.

Children's Privacy

Jember is designed for general audiences including language learners of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us at contact@jembergames.com and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access: request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Right to deletion: request that we delete your personal data
• Right to correction: request that we correct inaccurate data

Data Retention

Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe.

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months for operational purposes, then deleted.

Anonymous analytics data is aggregated and not retained in identifiable form.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the Platform. Continued use of Jember after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
