Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Jember ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses any part of jembergames.com.

Section 02

What Jember Provides

Jember is a free bilingual word game platform offering games in Amharic and English, including Word Build, Fidel Memory, Word Guess, Synonym Quiz, Guess the Musician, and future games.

We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove games and features at any time without prior notice.

Section 03

User Conduct

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. Specifically, you must not:

• Attempt to manipulate scores, rankings, or game outcomes through unauthorized means
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the Platform without written permission
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with games
• Submit false or misleading information through any form on the Platform
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure

Section 04

Intellectual Property

All content on Jember — including game logic, word lists, design, graphics, and copy — is the property of Jember Games or its content suppliers, protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without explicit written permission.

Amharic language data used in games is curated from public domain sources. Ge'ez script rendering is handled via open-source font technology.

Section 05

Games, Scores, and Streaks

Game scores, streaks, and any leaderboard positions are provided for entertainment and learning purposes only. We reserve the right to reset, adjust, or remove any score or streak at our discretion, particularly if obtained through unauthorized means.

Future account features (XP, leaderboards, challenges) will be governed by supplementary terms published at that time.

Section 06

Third-Party Services

Jember is hosted on modern cloud infrastructure. By submitting forms (newsletter sign-up, contact form), you acknowledge that this data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party services linked from or embedded in the Platform.

Section 07

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

We make no guarantees about the accuracy of word lists, translations, or language data used in any game.

Section 08

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jember Games shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which for a free platform is zero).

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after any change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
